The run will include a warm-up session with Olympic medalist Irina Slutskaya, sports, and neuroexperiments.

The 5k Science Run for participants of the 5th Young Scientists Congress will set out from Medal Square in Olympic Park. Timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry, the run will bring together different members of the scientific community in a sporty and informal setting.

Russian figure skater, Olympic medalist, two-time world champion, and only seven-time European champion in history Irina Slutskaya will lead a warm-up to get the session started while representatives of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education under the Presidential Council for Science and Education (CorSovet) take part in an intellectual quiz.

A DJ set, informal networking, and a neuroexperiment measuring reaction speed under physiological stress all await the scientists beyond the finish line.

All registered participants will get branded Rosatom T-shirts, with finalists receiving a commemorative medal in honour of the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry.

A joint Rosatom – CorSovet project enjoying the support of the Roscongress Foundation’s sports platform.
